Adoptive parents, David and Emily

Dear Birthmother,

Thank you for taking the time to read a little about us and our life. We love being parents and our deepest desire is to provide a loving and secure home for your child. Our families are very excited and supportive about our adoption.

About Us

We have been married for nine years, dated for two years and “liked” each other for a while before that. We both are very happy and fulfilled in our marriage.

We love children and always talked about having a family. We were blessed with three biological children but they all had a genetic skin disorder and passed away at a few months old. This was a sad and difficult time for us but we feel God has led us to adoption and we choose to have our family this way. Our son, Noah was adopted in 2004 and he is our joy!

We enjoy doing things as a family, playing basketball, and games with friends or simply relaxing and having quality time.

About David, by Emily

Being married to David makes me very happy! Not only does he make me feel secure but he keeps me laughing with his great sense of humor. He is kind, unselfish and does a wonderful job providing for his family, both emotionally and financially.

Noah adores him and David always has time for him. I’m constantly amazed at his endless patience. David loves the Lord and will be a wonderful role model for your child. He freely shows his affection with hugs and the words "I love you."

About Emily, by David

Emily is all I could ask for in a wife! She is the most caring person I know. She is fun, outgoing, and has lots of spunk. Emily is an avid gardener, a great cook and the house always seems to be in order. I also appreciate how she helps me on the farm.

Emily is a great mom to Noah and always seems to find time to explore the woods, look at books, and snuggle on the couch. Emily loves sports and is always ready for a game of basketball or volleyball.

Noah

Noah is our son whom we adopted in 2004. He is a very happy boy and loves playing with his small farm toys. He is kind and gentle with all animals and loves playing with our two dogs, Spunky and Smiley.

He would be thrilled to have a brother or sister and prays for one every evening before he goes to bed.

Our Home

We live on a beautiful 80 acre organic farm. We have 40 Jersey cows (they all have names), four work horses, one pet goat, two dogs, cats, our buggy horse and some calves. We believe in taking good care of our animals. We love farming because it allows David to work at home. We eat all our meals together and help each other with the milking. We have great times in the barn!

Since we live in Ohio, we have all four seasons. Our farm has a creek, woods, and many places for your child to explore. We are friendly with our neighbors and get together for cookouts.

We live in an old farmhouse with lots of character!

Our Faith and Lifestyle

We are devout Christians and strive to follow the commandments of Jesus. Amish is the lifestyle we have chosen and are happy and contented with it. It is a simple life with family being very important.

We drive a horse and buggy and use horses for farming. We have church every two weeks and usually visit family and friends on the in-between Sunday.

Some have said they feel we are deprived and that makes us smile because when we see our loving families and our many blessings we feel very rich.

Our Promise to You

We promise to love your child unconditionally, be committed to each other and provide a home where your child need never question our love. We promise to soothe their fears after a nightmare, laugh with them over a silly book, and spend lots and lots of quality time with them. We will raise your child in a Christian home and teach them right from wrong.

We would be happy to share pictures and letters with you if you wish to do so. We would be delighted to talk with you and hope you’ll feel comfortable to give Lifetime a call at 1-800-923-6784.

We wish you God’s love and peace.

Sincerely,
