Dear Birthmother,
Hello! We are excited and honored that you are considering us to become parents of your precious child.
We both have a close relationship with Christ, and our marriage and family is a reflection of His goodness and mercy to us. We have been happily married for five years, and we have a four year old son, Caleb, and a seven month old daughter, Mary. We have a fun, active, and joyful life. Adoption has held a special place in our hearts for several years, and now after experiencing secondary infertility while trying to conceive, we are thrilled to be growing our family through adoption. About UsMaggie loves being a stay-at-home-mom, and Rick works out of a home office, which allows lots of family time. On quiet days, Maggie, Caleb and Mary often spend time in the playroom, while busier days might involve play dates, visiting grandparents or friends, or running errands around town. After supper and devotions, Rick enjoys playing with the children and then taking Caleb through his bedtime routine.
Education is a high priority to us. We are lifelong learners and encourage that in our children also. We also love swing dancing together, reading aloud (usually Rick reads aloud while Maggie sews), having friends or family over, hiking, and traveling to historic sites. We also have a sweet miniature dachshund that is very affectionate and friendly.
About Rick, by MaggieBeing married to Rick is an incredible blessing to me. He is my best friend. I admire him greatly and am thankful I can trust in his love and devotion to our family, and to the Lord. Rick is patient, caring, humble, helpful, and affectionate with a happy disposition and a great sense of humor. He is also very analytical and intelligent, and enjoys being a financial analyst. He is loving and wise, and takes great care of us!
Caleb and Mary love playing with Rick, and he is always making them giggle. About Maggie, by RickMaggie is a warm, friendly, cheerful, and compassionate person who loves the Lord and is a joy to be around. She is always upbeat and never complains. Maggie creates an atmosphere of love and warmth in our home that makes it a peaceful place.
Maggie is a wonderful mother. She is extremely nurturing and patient with Caleb and Mary, and teaches them to love others. She also loves doing jigsaw puzzles and playing Legos with Caleb, and snuggling and singing to Mary. Caleb and MaryOur son Caleb is sweet, easygoing, and exuberant. He makes friends everywhere we go, and is a wonderful big brother! He is crazy about Mary and can barely walk by her without patting her head or giving her a hug. He looks forward to when she is big enough to play with him!
We love being parents and spending time as a family. We enjoy playing with Caleb and Mary, teaching them, snuggling them, and giggling with them. Our children are such a joy to us, and we are so hopeful and excited to continue to grow our family through adoption. Our Faith, Family, and HomeWe are both committed born-again Christians. Teaching Caleb and Mary about God’s love and grace is a joy and privilege to us, and we aim to reflect in His love in all we do. We are very involved in our wonderful close-knit church, and have found our closest friends there.
We live in a spacious two-story home in a small suburban neighborhood in North Carolina. Our home has three bedrooms, an open floor plan with lots of natural light, and a lovely fenced-in backyard.
Family is also very important to us, and we thoroughly enjoy having both sets of our parents living nearby. They are all eager for more grandchildren to love! Our Promise to YouWe appreciate your taking the time to get to know us, and would be honored to welcome your child into our family. We promise to provide a loving and stable home where your child will be cherished, nurtured, and encouraged. We look forward to teaching your child about God’s gracious love and the very special way we became a family through adoption. We are open to sharing pictures and letters with you, and possibly visits.
We wish you all the best and look forward to talking with you. Please know that you and your baby are in our prayers.
